The East District includes all officers assigned to respond to calls for service in Joliet on the east side of the Des Plaines River. It includes areas such as Parkwood, Second and Richards, Benton and Garnsey, Neufairfield, and the three Housing Authority of Joliet sites.
The Central District includes all officers assigned to respond to calls for service in Joliet on the west side of the Des Plaines River, genrally east of Essington Road. It includes the neighborhoods of St. Pat’s and the Cathedral Area.
The West District encompasses most of the newer areas of the City of Joliet and is located in Will and part of Kendall Counties. The West District substation is fully operational and staffed to deliver police services on a 24/7 basis. The West District Police Substation is located on Caton Farm Road just west of County Line Road and is open to the public Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm. The substation is closed to the public on Weekends and Holidays.
The West District includes many different areas starting with the many residential subdivisions as well as many neighborhood parks, schools, Wedgewood Golf Course, the Route 59 business district as well as rural undeveloped areas.
